Yamada Riko Artifical Superhuman 10/25/2008 10:26:56 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 66 | RE: The Streets of Kepp She shakes her head a bit and follows after him, glancing back to the room before they officially left. They came upon the training grounds and Yamada quietly took a seat off to the side, apparently not feeling up to sparring with the bio shell at the moment, though some of the soldiers were sparring in others parts of the grounds and gave him curious looks. The feeling of the place before the mission was to be expected, most people getting ready for this or that, some of the aircrafts getting prepped and people going in and out of the buildings. |
Terrathel assassin/mercenary 10/25/2008 11:15:51 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 74 | RE: The Streets of Kepp he chuckles as she takes a seat. "I like to practice a little before a mission, especially when I'm nervous or agitated. It helps with the nerves, and keeps the muscles from knotting up, plus then I'm already loosened up when everything starts. I've never had an opponent to spar with, I prefer to work through my forms." As he spoke he checked out the gun he was issued, making sure the parts were clean, it was in good condition. he attached the small wireless camera he has asked for, and put on the headband with the stereotypical clear green eyepiece. the camera acted as a sight for targeting with the weapon, as well as a good way to look around corners without being shot. With the eyepiece on the double vision can be disorienting to one unaccustomed to it, so he was putting is on now. He put the sling back on his shoulder, so the weapon rested near his hip, drew the katana, and began practicing with an imaginary opponent, blocking invisible attacks, and taking invisible openings, the opponent eventually became two then three, but he wasn't moving at full speed, just focusing in on something comfortable. "I become the blade. The blade doesn't worry about the future, the blade is sheathed, then it is not, it deals with problems when it comes to them, there is no stress, I become one with my blade, I become my blade." At the end of his mantra he performed a vicious triple kill at full speed, launching three full attacks with full fluidity, in totally different moves, which undoubtedly would have caught most opponents off guard and indeed killed them. He then hold the blade perfectly upright directly in front of his face, closes his eyes and exhales a full breath slowly. His eyes open, and there is a different look to them, more vicious like an animal focused on its prey he whispers "Silent killer" and launches into more invisible combat slightly faster. |
Yamada Riko Artifical Superhuman 10/26/2008 12:13:36 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 66 | RE: The Streets of Kepp Though Yamada smiles and seems a little distracted before Terrathel started to train, her attention was instantly on the bio shell. It was if she was watching every maneuver, every details, every motion, seeming extremely aware but very concentrated on him specifically. Otherwise she sits patiently and still as the time passes them on by, actually collecting a few watchers from the nearby soldiers who seem to be fairly impressed. |
Terrathel assassin/mercenary 10/26/2008 4:43:22 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 74 | RE: The Streets of Kepp Despite the (fairly) easy pace, he was beginning a light sweat by the time he finished his paces. When he finished he put the blade directly upright again, and let out another long exhale, this time completely relaxing. During his practice he had been vaguely aware of the attention he was getting, but as he finished he became very aware of it, and it made him kind of nervous. He just wasn't used to it, bio shells were typically ignored. he performs a formal martial rats bow with the sword to let them know he was done, and sheathed the katana (hoping they would go away). He had gotten used to the view from the camera bouncing around, and sometimes facing a different direction during his practice, so he took off the headband receiver, and switched the camera off. Well he had relaxed himself, though he was trying to get her to work off some of her nervousness as well, he decided he couldn't have everything and moved back to rejoin her. |
Yamada Riko Artifical Superhuman 10/26/2008 6:58:32 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 66 | RE: The Streets of Kepp Most of the soldiers did go away after the show, leaving the bio shell in a more comfortable situation. However, he was at it longer than he may have expected. People seemed to be getting finish touches down, some of the aircrafts coming out of the hanger and the sun setting slowly in the horizon. Yamada gave him a subtle smile before standing up and nodding slightly. "It's about time." With that she begun her walk over towards the hangers where the teams were gathering, leaving her laser pistol hung in her holster at her waist and her smaller katana strapped across her backside. As they approached Wares seems to come out and nod to the team. "All right men. We'll be getting on these aircrafts and be arrived at a landing strip only a few blocks away from the buildings. From there, we're talking transport vehicles and carrying out the plan from there." Some of the men nodded and the rookie that was part of the team looked slightly nervous himself. It wasn't long before they were all ready and loading themselves onto the transport carrier, Yamada being the last to get on except Terrathel and Wares. |
Terrathel assassin/mercenary 10/26/2008 7:43:03 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 74 | RE: The Streets of Kepp The ride was uneventful, the standard military plane with limited if any windows, and a fairly short trip (Kepp isn't all that big). Once the plane touched down they were all shuffled directly to the APC's which were even more boring, (except for the usual soldier chatter) but all chatter stopped when the APC's did, all the soldiers unloaded to get their first look at the building. As soon as he stepped out, Terrathel unsnapped the safety straps on his knives, eased the katana in it's sheath to get past the first resistance it gives you when you try to draw, and flipped down the viewpeice for the gun's camera. he then turned the camera on, and began examining the windows of the 9th floor, he vaguely wondered if they were going to cut power, but as it was a research place that may not be possible without something bad happening... and it'll only change his camera setting. He spoke loudly enough for the whole team to hear "If I say 'now' you'll have about one and a half seconds to close your eyes, avert your face and cover your ears before a flashbang goes off." |
Yamada Riko Artifical Superhuman 10/26/2008 9:04:40 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 66 | RE: The Streets of Kepp Terrathel would soon notice that the power was already gone, before anyone was even able to do a thing. Instead, there was a full moon out tonight, providing enough light but still not what might be preferred. The men nodded some and Ware didn't seem to object to the bio shell's comment as the other teams started to maneuver in carefully, using cover. It seemed like a well oiled machine, the military unit here, as there was barely any talking or pre-battle instructions. Wares nodded a bit again before moving out after the other teams, his men following with the two special members; Terrathel and Yamada. Nothing was unusual in the first floor as many of the soldiers seemed to suspect and teams started talking the elevators and doors. The elevator was actually large enough to hold the whole team of nine people. As they reached the nine floor, it dinged and opened slowly. The men started to slowly scan the area and move out of the way to give both Terrathel and Yamada room to move out. ".. what the heck happened here?" one of them whispers quietly. It's soon apparent what he was talking about as thin trails of blood are dragged across the floor. Some splatters adorn the walls and windows and all seem to lead into the nearby hallways. Yamada frowns subtly at seeing this and Wares motions Alpha and Beta into position and waits a little. Soon enough they radio in quietly that they're ready. "All right you two, go ahead.." the commander whispers. |
Terrathel assassin/mercenary 10/26/2008 9:20:01 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 74 | RE: The Streets of Kepp Terrathel darts forward, using the camera in starlight mode to check every angle he couldn't see normally, even varying his pace to make himself a harder target if someone started shooting, an assassin habit, and not necessarily too useful in this situation. He gets to the stopping point, swinging the camera to see what he could, he hits the com button ans whispers "escort in position." |
Locke Harrier Insurgent/Decker 10/27/2008 12:22:46 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 20 | RE: The Streets of Kepp (Hope you don't mind if I join. If you do, let me know and ignore my post. I won't be offended.) The whine of the motorbike ceases and an xenon eye blinks out as Locke cuts the engine. The tail of his woolen coat falls to the leather seat of the bike while his eyes focus on the sequence of events taking place on the block ahead. Lighting a cigarette, he rolls his bike into an alley. With the looming shadows of the commercial buildings providing cover, he walks calmly towards the APC unit. Wisps of blue smoke sift from his nostrils much like the site of the soul departing the body. He further observes the position of the APC unit and alters his path so that he can make an approach to its flank. Casually still, he walks to the tail APC and drops his cigarette before scanning the scene for signs of his detection. With graceful movements, he then opens the passenger door of the vehicle with his handgun drawn to the pilot's face. Rather bluntly, he addresses the uniformed man. "If you keep your mouth closed, there is a chance that this magnum will not remove your face from your skull." A thick foreign brogue carries his voice through the man's ear drums. Failing to adhere to his advice, the pilot attempts to raise his hand and activate his headset radio. To no prevail, for Locke snaps a six inch blade from his left coat sleeve and slides the steel across the pilot's neck with a dextrous flick of his wrist. Shaking his head with cynicism while muffling the man's death rattle with the knife-wielding hand, he begins to search for a copy of the mission briefing. He is successful in acquiring an electronic map that had been left on the passenger seat. "Cilek Inc. Ninth floor." Locke removes his hand from the pilot's mouth and allows the lifeless body to fall against the holographic dashboard, interfering with the hologram map of the city streets. Placing the portable electronic map back down against the seat, he quietly opens the passenger door once more and subsequently eases it shut. He then initiates a slow pace towards an alley that leads to the south end of the building. Reaching the south flank, he locates a retinal scanner which secures the southern entrance. He pries the face of the unit away with his knife and removes a three by four inch device from his coat pocket. Removing the wire from the motherboard which transmits retinal entries, he jacks in a wire attached to the device in its place. An image appears on the holographic screen displaying a series of characters coded in a familiar cipher. "Ah. Excellent" He proceeds to insert a second wire from the device into a metallic bore that lays embedded in his left wrist. The three pronged jack snaps into the neural gateway and the image on the screen begins to scramble; reflecting a sequence of thought taking place in his mind. The characters on the hologram freeze consecutively and a green light emits from the retinal scanner. A click of the door further indicates that he has successfully gained entry. Gun drawn, he watches as the door quietly slides open in front of him. He finds himself in a darkened lobby. A flicker of light catches his eye however for he notices the neon lit numbers on the northern elevator ascending to the ninth floor. The southern elevator sits motionless a mere 15 feet from him. Turning to his left, he locates the doorway which leads to the southern stairwell. Gliding across the tile, he slides open the door and begins his own ascension. He climbs the stairwell without haste and pauses as he reaches the final cluster of steps leading to the 9th floor. With a few quick motions of the hand, the coat buttons are undone and his coat falls open, revealing a white dress shirt of synthetic material, a navy blue tie, black slacks and black suede shoes. Sliding back the crown of of his firearm, he confirms that a round is chambered. He lets out a slight chuckle reflecting the humor of the apparent spontonaeity at hand. Proceeding with wraith-like steps, he positions himself to the right of the window which lays embedded in the aluminum frame of the door. Removing his knife once more, he wipes away the blood with a cloth from his coat pocket and positions it as a mirror to gain a view through the window. Immediately, Locke spots a gunman with his back turned to the door. He holsters his handgun and slides the quiet door open with a steady hand. He then creeps three feet forward and hovers over the being's shoulders for moment. A menacing smile forms on his face as he slips the blade under the man's chin and suspends his left hand next to its ear. "Sorry, friend." With those words Locke pins his hand over the figure's mouth and splits the flesh of it's neck with the well sharpened blade. In the same motion, he drags the body into the shadows behind the door, containing its fervent writhing. He awaits the familiar neural seizure and cradles the lifeless body to the floor. Closing the door once more, he wipes the bloodied blade on the figure's mesh vest and removes the submachine gun slung around its shoulders. As he does this, he murmurs to himself. "Ugly lad, aren't you eh? We all can't be so blessed." Slinging the strap around his own shoulder, Locke holds back his trench coat and removes a second hand gun from his hip holster, a .22, with barrel threading. He then removes a suppressor and screws it into the threading. Peering through the window once more, he further observes the room and fixes his eyes on three other unalerted gunmen. Swinging back to his left, he leans against the stairwell's wall and listens for the sound of opportunity. |

I'm not sure how delicate your storyline is here, I'm just interjecting where I can ^-^) ( EDIT:poo thought I messaged that not posted it....my bad) |
