The Admin Committee Heedeth my dialogue. Dominion Master 1/30/2007 11:50:17 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 31 | Collaborative Fiction In addition to role playing, a few of us who have been writing together for many years have come to simply play each other's characters as well as our own. This is perfectly acceptable behavior as long as A. You have the player's permission to use his character, and B. You stay in-character. It's recommended to stick to your own character(s) until you feel like you know another character inside and out. Benefits of collaborative fiction include being able to write out a plot thread in its entirety while it's still fresh in your mind, without worrying about another player doing something that wrecks the flow; if a player isn't online very often, his character won't necessarily be left out; and really, really long posts. Find what's right for you, and remember to always have the character creator's okay. |
