I didn't realize that all the new users used magic though. I hadn't read very many of the histories. I know, bad admin. I also knew why they aren't common in Daireem. We've talked about it a couple times. Like I said, I just didn't think we had any magic users. I just need to pay more attention. I read some of the stories going on, but not all of them. Yes... I know... bad admin. Anyway... So... Like I said... I understand it all. I just... didn't realize we did. I guess.

Magics!  I haz them.  At least, my Lao-Tzu character does.  My Hugo Blank character only has "Street Fighter"-style special moves. Not all the newcomers use magic, though.  Pretty sure that assassin-bot doesn't, although I would love to be wrong Imagine a robot who decides it wants to be a wizard.  But all it can do is shoot lasers.  Sad robot is sad... Hmm, just had another character idea, one that might work well in space.  A robot that can build spare parts for itself.  So it can: 1) modify itself and 2) make junk  into a space-station that would attract junk-haulers and 3) reproduce.

I concur with chris, that does sound rather replicator, except it's a bigger machine so have to know, and be capable of metals, craftsmanship of many different trades, wires, plate metal, servos, and joints all the little gears.... programming, and circuit boards, and be capable of melting down and purifying junk metals to get something useful, that's a lot to cram into one body without a half sized factory...
