The galaxy of Daireem (phonetic: die-reem) was discovered by the first Dominion
Masters four thousand, two hundred twenty-seven years ago. As such,
Earth has fallen into obscurity, as contact between galaxies has
never been established. The Dominion Masters were met with much
difficulty, but soon terraformed their first planet, which they
christened Taranis, through the use of a colossal, space-faring
vessel known as a Motor De la Suciedad; they couldn't think of a
name, so they used an electronic translator and translated "Dirt
Mover" to Spanish. This ship was built much larger than any planet in the galaxy, hollow on the inside, so as to completely engulf a planet and modify the environment however they saw fit. Most of the planets had to be moved through space so as to retain its inhabitable environment when the Motor De la Suciedad was removed. As time wore on, the position of Dominion Master was passed down through several generations and outsourced, eventually having several groups of Dominion Masters moving out of the galaxy to create their own in whatever manner they wished. However, there remains countless planets in Daireem that are uninhabitable, currently being terraformed--and thus inaccessible--or their respective Dominion Masters didn't want to leave, as was the case with the recently-freed planet Meeriad. In the past two millennia, many extreme technological advances were made by the planets of Daireem, and space travel became the norm. As outsiders began to see that this galaxy had become worthy of their notice, the dregs of the universe began moving in to take advantage of the relatively primitive peoples of Daireem. Countless wars have played out since the advent of space travel. Some of the most notable include the Rylian War, the Final War, and the the Comi gas conflict. |
