Type: .68 caliber payload
Barrel length: 9.8 inchesThe FN303 is essentially a
beefed up paintball gun, using compressed air and .68
caliber projectiles which it fires at velocities around 300
feet per second. However, its proprietary, color-coded
projectiles are shaped, with fins for stabilization over
longer ranges than paintballs. The FN303 is equipped with
an ergonomic polymer body with a skeleton buttstock for
weight reduction, flip-up peep sights, and a MIL STD M1913
Picatinny rail running the length of the body for mounting
other sights and scopes. It uses a 15-round drum magazine,
with a clear plastic back for easily identifying what rounds
are being used as well as remaining ammunition, and a
side-mounted compressed air bottle that will fire
approximately 100 shots before requiring refilling.
Available projectiles include impact (no payload, breaks
apart on impact,) permanent marking (contains unwashable
yellow paint that is released upon impact,) temporary
marking (contains washable pink paint that is released upon
impact,) and irritant (contains a chemical irritant that is
released into the air as tear gas upon impact.)
