Stasis Hey Claudius... You killed my father. Big mistake. Dominion Master 8/14/2008 1:27:20 AM Level: 25 Experience: 65000 Total Posts: 691 | RE: LET'S PLAY Team Fortress 2! There is that achievement that's something about a sandwich. Hurm. There is new game-mode. Sandwich-related objectives? Must investigate further. Or it could just be something about Scouts, in reference to Meet the Scout. |

If there even IS a sandwich, it'd better be merely something that he pulls out of his pocket to eat. Look at the shotgun taunt...Then imagine a sandwich in his left hand. Silliness aside, it would make not having a medic a little more plausible....silly I'm sure you know about the new map, Badwater. Sounds nice. Not so full of choke points like goldrush, and it's just one big map. Neat. |

Here, this was posted a few weeks ago on SA: Well I heard from an undisclosed source that it was 1. A new minigun that does -25% damage and -50% run speed on whoever it hits. 2. A sandwich you can taunt with to get 100 hp 3. Boxing gloves that never crit unless you have killed someone the last 5-10 seconds, then they always crit. New gamemode is called Arena, it's 5v5 deathmatch with one life. Kind of like sudden death. New maps are being worked on also remakes of granary well and maybe more? We haven't heard officially how much Natascha slows people down yet, but I'd say there were enough right answers in the post to confirm it's validity. |

I heard people talking about that post on Penny Arcade, but I never did see the post itself. Thanks. I don't know, I'm a little underwhelmed by the Heavy's unlockables, except the sandwich, which (if true) could be very useful. The supposed new gamemode doesn't even sound that exciting. Valve said a long time ago that TF2 doesn't lend itself to deathmatch. Maybe there'll be some kind of twist. |

It's been their mantra to not take control away from players. This is starting to go in that direction. I can see how it would be a sidegrade instead of a full upgrade like they said they wanted to do with the unlocks (except for the ubersaw and Blutsauger apparently...). Boxing gloves seem like an upgrade so far. I'm not really underwhelmed, just not underwhelmed. To me this update just means it's one closer to the spy update. That will be a glorious day. Yeah, Arena doesn't sound too exciting. That's basically what 2Fort is on public servers. P.S. Take a look at the blurry background behind the heavy. There's our new environment . Oh, and if you didn't realize, the achievements have been revealed as to exactly what they are for. "Konspicuous Konsumption: Eat 100 sandviches." |
