Balinor Pill Popping Medic 3/22/2008 1:49:54 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 48 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras William has just gotten an arm around Balinor’s shoulder in an effort to comfort her when someone in the hall bangs on the wall very noisily. Balinor wipes her eyes with the back of her arms and bottles her anger, getting to her feet and subsequently brushing William off. He doesn’t seem to notice though, also bolting to his feet and rushing out the door after Balinor. The person who had been banging on the wall is revealed to be Tucker, a very young mechanic with an incredible immune system, and he is looking very excitable. Tucker: Dr. Balinor, there’s something going on outside! There’s all kind of smoke and… there was an explosion, and… William takes Tucker by the shoulders and shakes him gently. William: Breath slowly, Tuck, and tell us what’s happened. Tucker takes a few deep breaths and seems to get a hold of himself. Tucker: I think a ship crashed outside. You’ve got to come see, there’s someone coming. Upon this news, Balinor takes off down the hall, down the stairs, to the covered walkway leading for the 1st Tower. She rips through it, she can hear the pound of William’s feet on metal behind her. He’s calling after her, but she doesn’t acknowledge it. Somewhere even further away, Tucker is surely following. She bursts into the main foyer of the 1st Tower but everyone is too distracted by the android trying to crack into the security system to notice. The hairs on the back of her neck are standing straight up and she storms over to the control console, her fist meets metal and bone crunches under the force. She’s too livid to feel it, though she’s broken her hand. Balinor: What in THE GALAXY do you think you are doing? William just now charges in and screeches to a halt at the sight of the scene before him, Tucker nearly collides with him, and eagerly peers over his shoulder. |

She then suddenly stops, the screen obviously in the middle of some password screen, and turns directly towards Balinor as if examing her for a few moments. Her voice is pleasant, but monotone and without much emotion. "I am currently hacking into the systems of this facility in order to obtain information. I had deemed it inefficient to ask the humans here as they were likely not to hold what I saught or would be too afraid to speak with me, judging from their reactions upon my enterance. As you can see, I have been damaged by multiple impacts and bullets and many of my systems are bugged and errored. I must repair them." It wasn't much of a surprise the people gathered began whispering among each other, some looking with more interest than before. The android was calm as before and seems to be willing to wait for a reaction. |
Balinor Pill Popping Medic 3/22/2008 2:50:19 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 48 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras Balinor speaks through her teeth, her voice is practically a hiss. Balinor: There is nothing for you here. William takes it upon himself to approach Balinor and the android at this point. She has taken a handful of plastic robot hair and is slowly pulling STAR away from the computer, regardless of whether or not it is a feasible task, given the fact that STAR is an android and unmovable if she so chooses. He places a hand on Balinor’s shoulder and squeezes it. His face shows genuine concern for her. He can feel the heat rolling off of her in waves, he notices her eyes have glazed over slightly, she’s seething. William: Bali—Bali, take a step back. Take a deep breath. Have you taken your medication yet? Nothing he says seems to register with her. He takes her arm at the elbow and pries it off the android’s shoulder, her hand is badly mangled, and she still doesn’t pay it any heed. All of her attention is on STAR. Until suddenly, its not. William sees his feet going over his head before he hits the floor, and has no clear recollection of how he got there. He looks up to find Balinor glowering down at him, still fisting a handful of the robot’s hair. She doesn’t even look back before, with a startling display of adrenaline induced inhuman strength, she slams STAR’s head through the plate glass covering the monitor and shatters the computer screen. ((Sorry for that, by the way.)) |
Lydyn S.T.A.R. 3/22/2008 3:03:51 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 116 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras For the most part, Star stays exactly where she is and examines the situation, watching the woman attempt to pull her away then Willian trying to break her from whatever rage fit she seemed to be in. As her face impacts into the monitor, she quite easily forces herself from the screen and seems to stare at it for a while. She then takes a forecful, but not entirely crushing, hold of Balinor's arm and twists it behind her back. Even if the women didn't seem to feel pain, it's was more than enough to mostly stop her from doing anything else to the android. "I strongly suggest you calm down and seek medical attention before you do further damage to my exterior shell and I consider you a great enough threat to terminate. Whether there is anything here for me or not is up to me, since you have inefficient information to judge clearly on whether there is or not." She then seems to regard William directly. "I suggest you acquire the medication you spoke of, assuming this is some sort of biological emotion inducing effect." |
Balinor Pill Popping Medic 3/22/2008 3:28:11 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 48 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras Balinor begins to writhe, trying to tear away from her captor, but doesn’t manage to free herself. She lets loose a blood-curdling scream as she wrenches her shoulder from its socket as a result of her struggle. She still continues to fight; her mind has recessed to somewhere dark and unreachable, she doesn’t even know where she is anymore. Tucker has fallen into a whimpering heap on the floor. The others in the room have stopped whispering and are watching in terrorized silence. Balinor had been their rock, and she has just been reduced to an almost feral-like state. William, however, comes alive when STAR incapacitates Balinor. William: Stop! Let her go! She’s fragging hurting herself more than she could possibly hurt you. You’re the bloody robot, act like you’ve got a computer chip for a brain. It’s William’s turn to be angry. William: She needs to be sedated, android. You pick her up and make sure she doesn’t do any more damage to herself or she won’t be able to fix you once she’s better. She is your best chance for help. He addresses the general public next, all six of them, and his tone is surprisingly calm and authoritative. William: Return to your rooms and go to sleep. Doctor Black is your best chance of survival too, don’t forget that. Tucker can’t seem to completely compose himself, but the older ones manage to get it together. They shuffle off to retire to their dorms while Tucker only succeeds in pulling himself up the nearest wall and standing on his own two feet, his knees visibly shaking. Tucker: I-is she gonna be okay? William: We have to get her to the medical wing. Now. |
Lydyn S.T.A.R. 3/22/2008 3:36:38 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 116 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras Star keeps Balinor in the same lock for several moments until William is done speaking for the most part, though where one might expect it to be slower this way, Star has no problem picking up the lost speed as she tosses the doctor up and cradles in her arms while her hands hold her stomach and her arms as she draws the doctor to her chest. Strangely enough Star replies with, "My name is Star, not andriod. I will follow you then." Though it's likely William wouldn't pick up on it with a situation like this, it does seem a little out of place that the android would actually care to give her name at all. Then again, she barely seems insulted or concerned otherwise. Her steps are brisk and quick as she follows William, whether running or walking, and easily keeps up with the man as she looks from side to side as if scanning the colony. While the doctor could definitely wiggle, there was very little room to hurt herself anymore, assuming she didn't start banging her head against the side of Star. |
Balinor Pill Popping Medic 3/22/2008 4:02:01 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 48 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras Balinor still continues to squirm, but her actions aren't as direct as before, now it's more like she's twitching uncontrollably. Her breathing has turned ragged and she wheezes and gasps for each mouthful of air. Her eyes dart about, seeing unseen monsters. Occasionally she lets out a petrified cry or chokes out a strangled scream. Tears are rolling down her cheeks, and her black eyes have taken on a milky hue. William leads them to the medical center at a brisk pace, trying to hold up Tucker as well since the poor boy isn’t quite able to support himself just yet. He could use some therapeutic attention as well, panicked as he is by the whole situation, yet nowhere near Balinor’s psychotic state. The doctor on duty rushes over to them as they breach the hospital doors, he looks as initially horrified as the people in the foyer had been, but he gathers his wits about him quickly and ushers them in to the nearest, unoccupied room without a word. Like all the doctors in the facility, he had been apprised of Balinor’s condition by Balinor herself, with a list of instructions for the worst-case scenarios. This appears to be one of those scenarios. He leaves the room and reappears seconds later with a shot full of clear, orange liquid which he administers flawlessly. Within moments, Balinor’s spasms cease and her breathing returns to normal. Her eyelids flutter close of their own accord. The doctor pulls a blanket over her and hooks her up to an IV before closing the curtain around her bed. Doctor: She’ll be fine in a few hours. The doctor then helps Tucker into the other bed and begins to check his vitals, while glaring at William. Doctor: Now tell me, what the slag happened here? William turns to Star, his arms crossed over his chest. William: That’s what I’d like to know. Do you care to explain yourself, Star, was it? |
Lydyn S.T.A.R. 3/22/2008 4:21:59 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 116 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras Having laid the doctor onto the bed to allow the other to take care of her, she tilts her head slightly to William and stares at him for a few moments before straightening back up. "Did you not hear me before? I recquire repairs and since the ship had crashed here, this was obviously the nearest and best place to find such information. As to what happened, you saw it all, did you not? Do you really wish me to explain exactly what you saw?" She seems inhumanly calm as before, which wasn't all that surprising persay, but could easily come off as unsettling at best - especially with the obvious dents and cracks all over her metal body. |
Balinor Pill Popping Medic 3/22/2008 4:33:32 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 48 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras William sighs heavily, having forgotten that he is dealing with a robot and not a human, who would be capable of comprehending the deeper connotations in his question and not just the base question itself. The doctor finishes with Tucker and tells him to stay in the bed while he disappears again. He is gone for a longer period this time, but eventually returns with a small pill and a glass of water. Doctor: Anxiety attack, Tucker. Just take this and everything will be fine again. Tucker takes the pill and drinks the water and sets the empty glass on a tray. He stays in the bed and just listens to the conversation. William: So you are damaged and have a crashed a ship nearby in hopes that we will be able to fix you, is that what you’re suggesting? He doesn’t wait for Star to reply before he plunges on. William: In that case, Balinor was probably correct. There isn’t much for you here. This is a mining colony. We don’t have much in the way of mechanically inclined android fixer-uppers. He becomes quiet and Tucker and the doctor both know what he is thinking in the burdened silence. |
Lydyn S.T.A.R. 3/22/2008 4:43:07 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 116 | RE: Tenga Cuidado con Piedras Star seems to examine him more keenly before resting on a nearby medical bed and she seems to check herself, more like a human might as she runs a hand across her thighs a bit, whether she could actually feel her leg was in question. "I choose not to expend the details of my journey here yet as it's relatively unimportant right now. The men in the ship have all died and those attacking have extremely slims chances of tracking the hyper-jump. Though I do not know the full capabilites of the alien life form, the hyper-jump is so fast and rarely reaches it's exact location, they would need a higher technoloical level to even hope to effectively track it." She pauses in her explaination, having explained near to what William may or may not have exactly wanted an answer, perhaps making her seem a bit more intelligent than he first thought. "As for the facilities for my repair, while perhaps they may or may not be here, hacking into the systems will at least give me valuable information on the basics on the planet and specifics on clues to where a proper facility or personal may be found. The fit your friend had wasn't my intention, if that is what you're thinking. I could not help that." |
