QuantumTroll Street Fighter/Space Station 8/3/2008 2:19:45 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 181	RE: Here comes a new challenger Ok, I like that.  So out in the sticks it's essentially the Wild West, but the larger cities are kept relatively safe.  I would guess that most cities have large anti-air batteries that can easily defeat enemy aircraft?  Otherwise it is hard to see how they can enforce the no-weapon rule and still be unable to protect a larger area. How widespread is the disregard for the illegality of weapons?  I'm assuming it is a problem in proportion with the risk of robbers, so it depends on region and lifestyle.  Tourists and visitors probably never go so far as to lose sight of the well-protected regions of airspace, it'd be too dangerous and bad for business . Anyway, I think I've got a good enough picture of the setting to work with it.  Time to make stuff happen!

Let me know if you've got any complaints about it.  I had fun writing it And feel free to join in any time, although I guess I'd appreciate knowing what you're up to beforehand I assume out-of-character discussion is done in threads like this one, rather than in the story thread itself?  Let's try to keep it that way, at least.   Oh yeah, I'm using "frak" instead of "the f-word".  I read somewhere on here that you guys frown on real swearwords.  Alternatives do work, but they don't have the same impact as the real deal, so I'd prefer not filtering things. I'll continue with "frak" and such if you want me to, though.

Plus, it's just the way the Daireem galaxy works. They've never even heard what one might call "real swear words." They just have their own. This site may require more outside-the-box thinking than most, and we like it that way! Unfortunately, it seems that nobody else does. Everyone, have fun writing and try not to cling so much to common, earthly ideas! I'm now headed back to my throne hewn from the bones of my fallen enemies to oversee the burning of more unconvertible masses.

Pi is the ratio of the area of a circle to its diameter.  Saying that it is "roughly equivalent to 3.14" is simply not very good math, which implies both a dearth of mental rigorousness and compromised moral rectitude.  Indeed, by your maltreatment of Pi, you betray the very essence of the rational cause and display a spirit aligned more closely with beast than with Man.  Frankly, I expected better from a tyrant who rules with an iron fist. In unrelated news, it'll be a day or two before I continue on with my story.  Thesis work got interesting, and I won't be able to keep myself away until I mess things up again.
