Lobiel Enforcer Captain 5/29/2009 11:48:40 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 14 | RE: A "Routine" Stop Lobiel sketched some more notes down before closing the notpad and pocketing it. He looked around and took another step forward. "Everything seems to be in order" he frowned "just two things, I need to search your ship for stoways we have an escaped convict from Micc and it's only standard procedure..." He took a step past Raelan, not taking no for an answer. "You guys wouldn't happen to be magic users would you?" he asked them nonchalantly. |
Lao-tzu Ancient Thinker 5/30/2009 6:06:49 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 56 | RE: A "Routine" Stop Now Lao-tzu couldn't help but notice a strong discordant vibration from Lobiel, a glint in his eye that said he really wanted to give these Miccans a hard time. Curious about what that would entail, the old man pretended not to notice the malevolent tone and said, "Yes, I have considerable skill and power in most forms of magic. How can I be of assistance?" Visually, Lao-tzu would seem like almost a stereotypical elderly wizard, with his long white hair, beard, and robes. The only thing missing was a pointy hat and a staff. If Lobiel paid attention, he would also notice that the old man wasn't as bent and frail as one might expect. |
TheWalruss Starcey Crystal 7/10/2009 11:35:00 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 44 | RE: A "Routine" Stop (Sorry about my absence, everybody...) Starcey had relinquished her gun, hoping to distract the policeman from her motorcycle in the storage bay. A scan of the serial-number indicated the gun was, indeed, registered to one Ms. Starcey Crystal, with matching biometrics. This seemed to satisfy the officer, although why such a young girl would own such a big weapon was a puzzling question. Starcey sensed the tension in the air was not just hers - everybody was nervous and suspicious. This could get hairy in a heartbeat... but who could she trust? (...) Assuming a tone and pose, she replied to Lobiel's passing question: "No sir, I don't know any magic at all." An innocent, accurate answer, which didn't place any burden on her or her strange compatriots. They could answer as they pleased - as long as they keep the thin metal skin keeping her safe from the cold vacuum outside intact. |
Raelan inventor/mage 8/5/2009 1:59:15 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 94 | RE: A "Routine" Stop (sorry sorry, moving and such my computers are still at my parents place little internet available) Raelan raised his eyebrows a little at Starcey's gun, he'd noticed her posture slightly odd but written it off to nervousness about the spaceflight. To Lobiel he bowed slightly, it seemed an unusual question, but not necessarily unwarranted "I am a magic user of sorts, self trained, and not all that knowledgeable but I perform shows and try to integrate some into some of my inventions, I specialize mostly in sensory magic. I am registered as a mage on the networks that keep track of such things, but most people don't seem to believe magic." |
