DarkSun Bounty Hunter 1/12/2009 1:44:24 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 34 | RE: Take back the city Travis listened to the android, and then nodded slightly, laughing under his breath. "It's unfortunately obvious that you never hunted the creatures on this planet. Fifteen minutes can be a godsend in our situation. "The enemy has three directions to come from, most likely whichever leads from the club. If anyone has some string," he paused, grinning, "a trap can win us half the battle." He then turned and pointed at two decrepit buildings that were down the street, "We can put grenade trip wires on major columns, pulling them over the street, blocking avenues of escape," he then gestured to the alley, "The rest should be shooting fish in a barrel. "Now, It's not a prefect plan, so, I'd like a little help from you three to fill in any gaps." |

But I think that I need to be in the open for this whole plan to work." "When they see me, you guys hop out of hiding spots and take them down. One more thing, we have to make sure that they don't run into any of the trip wires otherwise our cover will be blown." |
cross Deon 'CrosS' Carter 1/13/2009 3:48:49 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 37 | RE: Take back the city "I got some fishing wire" Deon said, handing it to Travis. "You sure you know what you're doing?" Ghost had just finished refreshing his two magazines and was looking around for a nice hiding spot. "So uh, how do we know exactly which way they'll be coming from?" |
DarkSun Bounty Hunter 1/13/2009 1:32:26 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 34 | RE: Take back the city Travis took the wire, and pulled two grenades off of his belt. "I grew up here, under a hunter. He died a few years back, which is also why I have those revolvers," he paused and tilted his head towards his bag, "Criminals are just another creature. Any path can be figured out. "As for how we know where they're coming from, they'll try to use the roads, because it's the quickest way to this place. As for exactly which way, we don't. Luckily for us, there are two buildings available, which we can use to box them in. "The next problem we're faced with is putting MK2 in the firing line. They will probably be prepared to fight a robot, so they'll probably just ignore humans standing around in he street. Unfortunately this also means they'll have heavier weaponry, so we'll need to be ready to kill if we can't take down." He tied a length of fishing line to the grenades he removed, then handed some of the grenades to MK2. "We should have about 10 minutes left. We need to put these on a forward central pillar. Deon, Ghost, and myself will hide our weapons and wander around the street, with a hold on the trips. MK2, if you are willing, will stand in the middle of the street, drawing their attention. When the enemy is within the blockade, we will pull the pins, using the trips. The time delay will give them time to let their guard down, if we pull it off. The grenades will go, and the buildings will collapse, bringing down their avenues of escape. If we knock them unconscious we'll have two, maybe three hours to take down the leader." [Removed 3 Frag Grenades from inventory] ((OOC: Sorry for continuously using long posts... I just keep getting excited about this >.<.. sorry.)) |
hydntylr95 MK2 Assasin Droid 1/14/2009 7:53:49 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 36 | RE: Take back the city "Ok, let's get to work" MK2 said. Ten minures later the trap was set, Travis, Ghost and Deon were in position. 'Now it's down to chance, and that's never good.' Suddenly, MK2 heard footsteps down the street, and spotted a group of rag tag guys obviously armed walking down the treet towards him. 'Here goes nothing.' "I don't suppose that your thre MK2 Assasin droid?" said one of the thugs. "Yes that would be me" said MK2. "Our boss has something against you, and wee've been sent to take you out." Looking around the street, pretending to be nervous, he spotted Travis, and gave him the sign to trip the wires. The thug continued talking and endded with "now you're going down down" just then, the grenades went off with a huge boom, and the thugs were dazed "Is that so?" MK2 said when they recoverd and the firefight began. |
cross Deon 'CrosS' Carter 1/14/2009 7:36:10 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 37 | RE: Take back the city The explosion was abnormally loud, and polluted the sky with concrete and shrapnel. after the dust had settled and the gunfire had started, Deon immediately revealed his position. Holding his knife in reverse grip and his Kimber Custom in the other hand, he whipped his arm around the corner of a building, forcing it into a thug's throat. Sheathing his knife, he used his free hand to steady his aim. He emptied his magazine at a few, managing to take two more down, before he ducked behind cover to reload. Ghost had not been so lucky. He had drew his pistols fast enough to take down one of his opponents, but a second had come from behind his fallen comrade and knocked Ghost on his back. But before he could finish him off, Ghost delivered a powerful kick to the back of his knee which was then followed by a gunshot to the head. Suddenly, the sound of sirens could be heard in the distance. Standing up, Ghost observed the street littered with dead bodies as well as the ongoing gunfight. "This can't be good..." he muttered to himself. |
DarkSun Bounty Hunter 1/15/2009 1:06:51 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 34 | RE: Take back the city Travis had been leaning against the wall when the grenades went off. He covered his ears, then leaned forward and walked, timing his steps so that the rubble fell around him instead of on him. He noticed one of the thugs stand up and start running the opposite direction, trying to escape into the fog of the collapsed building. Travis stopped and drew one pistol, and took aim at the runner. With one shot he took down the thug from the 50 feet between the two buildings. He twirled the pistol, sheathed it and leaned into a dash to keep himself from being a target. He noticed a man wave at something then he heard it. It sounded like a siren, but something was off. This section of town was deserted, hence, nobody around to call for a siren... unless it wasn't a siren. He looked over at Deon and Ghost, and saw that they had noticed it too. As many thugs as there were, there was a noticeably missing element to a robot capture. Heavy weapons. He drew a beam saber and struck down one more of the remaining thugs. Then he turned, trying to look through the slowly settling dust from the collapsed buildings. At this point a strange shape moved, and a loud boom was heard, followed by a strange whine. Travis stopped, and watched the shape. Only one class type of thing had that kind of shape. Generally it wasn't good to run into those things without a rocket launcher. He noticed the others had taken down the remaining thugs, and turned towards the sound. Travis drew his pistols and quickly reloaded to full ammo. As the four gathered, and watched, three Falcon Walkers stepped into the open. Travis closed his eyes and moved to a readied stance. "You know, your client really knows how to tick off a bounty hunter," He said over the whine of the falcons, looking around the clearing for a way to take down the walkers, "I'm out of ideas to take these guys down at the moment." |
cross Deon 'CrosS' Carter 1/15/2009 7:29:22 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 37 | RE: Take back the city Ghost wasn't surprised that he had mistaken the high pitched whine of the walkers' engines for sirens. His hearing hadn't quite been the same since that nightclub incident.... What he was surprised at was his new opponents. Deon was usually the one who thought up all the ideas so Ghost just ducked behind a crate. "Cross! Any ideas?" he shouted. Meanwhile, Deon had loaded a clip with his armour piercing rounds. He always carried a magazines worth in case he got in trouble with the armoured bouncers at the Golden Gecko, but he doubted he could do much with one mag. "Anyone got any armour piercing rounds?" he shouted, slamming the magazine into his weapon and taking cover. |
DarkSun Bounty Hunter 1/16/2009 4:24:27 PM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 34 | RE: Take back the city Travis drew his pistols, diving to the side to avoid gunfire from one of the Falcons. "I have about three clips," He paused at a sideways glance from one of the others, "You wouldn't believe the effort criminals put in to avoid being shot themselves," he shouted, rolling his eyes. "I have about four grenades left too... not much use alone, but..." Travis paused and fired around a shard of rubble that he had taken refuge behind. "I knew they were going to bring heavy weaponry," he shouted over the walker's screech, "but fragging walkers!? "A walker's weak point is it's legs. We'll have to get a grenade or some other explosive in there, or else we're gonna need to get onto them, somehow!" |
cross Deon 'CrosS' Carter 1/17/2009 12:58:41 AM Level: 1 Experience: 0 Total Posts: 37 | RE: Take back the city "This is fraggin' ridiculous" Ghost thought to himself, as he narrowly avoided the blast of an ion cannon. In the corner of his eye he spotted something glowing above him. He immediately took aim at the neon sign and emptied both of his magazines at the supports. Finally, a burst of bullets hit their mark, and the sign was sent tumbling into a walker below, furiously spitting sparks into the air. "Well, that's me for tonight" Ghost thought, noticing that was the last of his ammunition. He dropped silently into a nearby dumpster and left the lid open only enough to observe the battle. Meanwhile, Deon had crept next to Travis to discuss a plan. "If I can distract one, reckon you could slice up it's leg joints with that beam saber?" he yelled, as he ducked to avoid a burst of autocannon fire. |
