Lucille DeCroix

Character Name: Lucille Joann DeCroix
Alias:   Lucy Ferra
Nicknames: Lucy, Ping, Lucifer
Age: 36
Gender: Female
Race: Halfling Human-Demon

(My picture again! No touchy plzkthnx)

Description: Lucy is a beautiful mix of all the best human and demon qualities, except for her personality.  Once she was told, by some game nerd, that her natural alignment was Neutral Evil, and she’s perfectly fine with that since she is her number one priority.  She’ll do just about anything to get what she wants, but she doesn’t go out of her way to make other people miserable.  She’s been called fickle, because she has a tendency to switch sides and mislead people, but she is not really, since all her actions are driven by her perverted need for self preservation and advancement.

Lucy suffers from what is known as amelanosis, or, simply, albinism.  Her eyes are a pale shade of pink, her skin and hair are a remarkable white; she lacks the pigmentation for the normal color variations of her kinds.  She makes up for this with an eccentric wardrobe.  Though the articles in her outfits never match in theory, she somehow pulls it off.  She almost always wears a thin, wireless, high-tech cyberoptic monocular video display over her left eye.  Otherwise, she will be seen wearing protective eye gear, usually in the form of goggles.  Her right eye, however, is always covered by a black wrap and shaggy white bangs.  Lucy has an oral fixation; she is hardly ever seen without something in her mouth.  Usually, her obsession finds relief in the form of a lollipop or toothpick.

Lucy is petite; her build suggests long hours indoors.  This makes sense since she has had to spend the majority of her life inside due to her condition.  Her skin is especially delicate; she can’t stand even short periods of direct sun exposure.  She appears almost emaciated, lacking any type of muscle mass, but this is due to a healthy appetite and an astonishing metabolism as well as a half demon bone structure.  She has wings, but they are smaller even than the smallest demon’s because of her human ancestry.  Likewise, she has claws, but her digits are longer than that of the purebred demon.  One more testament to her demon heritage is the small calcium deposits along her spine resulting in a trail of bumps down her back.

Her outward appearance is offset by a brilliant, extremely inventive mind.  She is a computer genius, an artisan engineer, and a master mechanic as well as a brilliant code breaker.  By normal standards, she is a mastermind.

History:  On September 12th, 4191, in a little town in Flistna, Lucille Joan Felix was born.  The midwife took one long look at her and decided the baby was an abomination and an offense to nature.  She suggested that the baby be drowned or throttled in some way.  The local witch doctor, however, proclaimed that the child was a miracle and was surely meant to bring great things to their village.  Her parents didn’t give in to either school of thought, and treasured their daughter.  To prevent her from being corrupted by a somewhat primordial community, they moved from Flistna to the space colony of Sunset.  Here, she lived in relative happiness for many years.  Some people in Sunset had a prejudice against her appearance, but most were generally accepting.

Lucy was home-schooled by her mother who had been a teacher.  Because of this Lucy never had any friends, but she was allowed to fully develop in her best areas of study: math and languages, and forego everything about the rest except for basic knowledge.  She picked up several hobbies including computer programming, electronics, mechanics, and engineering.  These diversions were facilitated by her handicap; since she couldn’t play in sunlight, she found things to do in the dark.  Lucy liked these things, and her mother and father helped her excel in everything she took interest in.

She was the apple of their collective parental eye.

And then, late one night, they were taken from her.  She was fourteen; they had incurred massive amounts of gambling debt which they couldn’t pay.  She had no idea, and she never would.  One night, several men in hoods broke into their complex and assassinated them both; Lucy witnessed the murder from her hiding spot in a closet.  When she was found the next day by authorities, she was mute.  A child therapist diagnosed her sudden inability to speak as a result of shock, and said that it would wear off eventually as Lucy came to terms with her parents’ deaths.  For the next year and a half she would live at a children’s hospital.

During the course of the investigation following the murders, several suspects were considered.  Lucy was able to identify one of them as one of the men who broke into her apartment, but because she wasn’t able to testify in court, the man walked.  The case went unsolved.

Lucy was 16 when she was released, but she hadn’t regained the ability to talk.  Since she was no longer a child, she wasn’t placed in foster care but given a small allowance with the expectancy that she would begin now to take care of herself.  She spent all her money on electronics and the rent for a small flat, and got a part time job fixing and reprogramming computers which she was allowed to do in the comfort of her home.  She didn’t step out of her apartment for the next three months.

During her time of non-communication, Lucy was busy cracking into the police database to find out all the information on her parent’s case.  She learned the identity of all the suspects and accessed their criminal records.  She ascertained where they lived, where they worked, gained all obtainable information on their families and social lives.  She learned their social security numbers, the places they were born, whether or not they were in choir during their school years, what their favorite flavor of ice-cream was.  In short, she got to know them very, very well.  And in her spare time, she constructed a highly advanced bio shell, which she named Z.

And on the two year anniversary of her parents’ assassinations, she killed them all.

That morning, before the bodies even had a chance to set into rigor, she walked calmly into the police station and confessed to every single murder; she was no longer mute.  To her surprise, however, she was laughed at.  She was told that no girl as feeble and weak as she would ever be able to have killed 12 people, most of them large and notably dangerous men, in one night, if at all.  She asserted that she was, in fact, responsible, but her confession was dismissed.  She might have been admitted to a mental institution, but after she was mocked so openly, she disappeared.  Every trace of her was wiped out of existence.  Every file with any record of her life was deleted.  She even went so far as to remove any reference to herself from any of her parents’ records, especially their still unresolved murder files.

Lucy left the space station, leaving a blood-splattered Z in her apartment for the police to find, but only after she had gutted him.  All that was left of him was his outer casing, devoid of any prints.  In the end, he was tried and prosecuted, the evidence against him made for an open and shut case.  But because he was only remains and his Mind was never found, the case is still open.

She returned to Vansid where she made for herself false papers to live by.  She became Lucy Ferra, a pseudonym which she would grow rather fond of.  There, she got a job in a development center where she worked three other people to brainstorm new, more advanced technology.  Here was were she first heard a proposal for a quantum slipstream-drive, a more advanced, and much faster, version of hyper-drive.  Apparently, it was not a new idea, there had been many trials in the past that didn’t work out for some reason or another, the main reason being that the calculations the ship’s computer needed to make in order to stay in the slipstream were too complicated and too many for any standardized processor.

Lucy decided that she would solve this problem, on her own.  Her advanced knowledge of the mechanics of a ship and of a computer lent itself well to her project and within a year she had developed a program which contained a non-complicated algorithm, which would allow a ship to stay in slipstream for as long as it took to get from point A to point B, as long as the two points were coordinates in the ship’s navigational system.  She did not deliver this technology to her company, however, and instead kept it for herself.  At the same time, she pilfered company material and rebuilt Z.

Somehow, her partner found out about her creation and tried to convince her to hand the drive over, but Lucy refused.  When he threatened to rat her out and accused her of stealing company equipment and information, she dropped him off the top of a building.

His death was ruled a suicide.

Lucy continued to work the development center for the next four years.  By the time she quit she had built Y, X, and Q and had all the basic equipment she needed to customize a CP3 Vexxer which she had “rescued” from a shipyard.  It took her six and half years to complete the ship, and then another seven months to completely master flying it.

During her period of unemployment, she was never at a loss for money.  During her first five months on Vansid, she had written and deployed an untraceable micro-virus into several major banking companies scattered across the planet which wired very small funds from every single account they held directly into an artificial account before it removed itself from the system.  The artificial account transferred the money into thirty small accounts held in insubstantial banks under false aliases.  The artificial account was then eradicated.  After she finished with her life on Vansid, she closed her accounts and donated the majority of what was left to a galactic charity for neglected and exploited children.  She could, in theory, repeat the process and have unlimited funds once again, but she finds money so much less useful than intelligence and has no desire to regain her former state of wealth.

The next years of her life passed without a hitch, she roamed, always looking for something to further her own genius, though nothing would prove as valuable to her as her slipstream-drive.  She was recruited for a very short while by a warring faction in Lars who needed a decoder.  She hit Fierra Mesa where she counted cards for a month before she got bored and left.  Eventually, she was contacted by Byte, Inc. who wished to hire her as a field agent in information acquisition.  Since this seemed to go along with her general goals, she accepted the offer and is relatively happy with her decision so far.  Byte, Inc gave her the code name Ping in honor of her special skill set.

Suffice it to say, no one (except for those actually involved) know of her life before she arrived in Vansid.  She makes sure those who do know something of her as Lucille DeCroix are met with a swift end.  She does not get on well with others; she does anything to get what she wants.

Party:
Z – The first bio shell she ever created.  Z is a veritable killing machine and utilized for little else.  Lucy uses him whenever she needs someone disposed of, and keeps him impeccably clean.  When he is not killing, Z can be found near Lucy, usually busying himself by reading or doing crossword puzzles or knitting.  He likes to stay occupied, and finds entertainment in such simple things.  He is always aware, and doubles as Lucy’s bodyguard when the need arises.  He is almost seven feet tall, falling just short at 6’10, he was built to be intimidating.  He has shoulder-length black hair kept in a ponytail, and very dark green eyes.

Y – The second bio shell Lucy created and a much more social creature than his elder brother.  Y was not built for killing, but for convenience.  Y is in charge of mundane tasks, otherwise known as chores.  Y has a very bubbly personality, often giving off the impression of femininity.  And while Lucy has offered to give him a female body, Y has always declined the offer.  Y is 5’8 and of a more slender build, with short light brown hair and lilac eyes.

X – This third bio shell was created to assist Lucy in her mechanical endeavors.  He is an excellent pilot, and is usually the one who flies her ship.  She gave to him all the knowledge she possesses, and so he is of the same level of genius as she.  She uses him to bounce ideas off of, and he is an excellent partner.  Lucy gave him the most startling features, perhaps because he shares her mind, and therefore must also share her upsetting appearance.  X is wiry at 6’2, and has skin so dark it’s almost black.  He has light blue markings on his face reminiscent of tribal tattoos, and his eyes are a light ice color.  If he had hair it would be black, but he is bald.

Q – Q is the youngest of Lucy’s creations, and favored by her simply because he is capable of critical thought.  He is not constrained by the simple rules of logic that his brethren are ruled by.  Q is a philosopher, always questioning the things around him and seeking to expand his knowledge of the universe and its ways.  Lucy designed him to never be satisfied with a conclusion, so he is always trying to come up with a new answer to an old question.  Q is only 4’7 and his light, inquisitive orange eyes and bright yellow hair.

Weapon(s):
Z is the only weapon Lucy has need of, and he is equipped with the following:
Lanus Arms VX-9 Striker
CRKT M1 Lightfoot – Left-handed Combination Edge
CRKT M1 Lightfoot – Right-handed Combination Edge
Pairril G2M
Orion Holocommunicator x4

RE: Lucille DeCroix

If this wasn't so well written, I would be throwing it out right now. Laughing

But at the moment, there's only two big things that I need changed.

One is that she was born on Meeriad and moved when she was young. This is impossible, because not only had Meerians not developed spacecraft at that time, but even if they did, there was a ship of epic proportions completely engulfing the planet, with no holes. XD

I realize this causes a problem since demons originated on Meeriad, but I'll change that eventually. Laughing So just... have her born on another planet.

Second, the endless supply of money is just too much. Colon Oh!

It's late. I'll probably look at this some other time and figure out if it's approved. You can go ahead and post though. XD

Aside: I like how Z's arsenal consists entirely of two knives and a rocket launcher. Laughing

o.o

I don't know if you like it or not. xDD

Okay, I fixed her money issue. I figured it might be too much, but I thought I'd try anyways. *wink*

And I put her on Flistna, because I know nothing about Flistna.

If I didn't like it, it would have all been thrown out immediately, as I said. XD

Well, you said if it wasn't well written. That's different. >>;

*huffs*

Just kidding.  I think.

But thank you!

Let me know if there's anything else I should change to make it better... or more rp friendly.

I didn't read much, 'cause it's late and I have to be in the mood to read -that- much, lol. But the simple fact she made four Bioshells makes me happy. Blah

Oh, and hi! *Waves*
