She wasn't going for it last year because it interfered with my schoolwork, but last year I also had the excuse of not being part of the public school system and therefore not having a set date for when things had to be done. On the other hand, I know a bit of Chinese now.

If my math is right, you'd only have to do about 2150 words a day to catch up by the 30th. So, it'd take a bit of work, but it's not as bad as 5k a day. I know what you mean. It is hard to get stuff done and write. The only way I manage to write, is by staying up really late and having no social life whatsoever, outside of write-ins. The lack of the social life thing has helped quite a bit. I am up to 30k words right now. I keep hitting slow spots every 10k words. It's driving me insane. I'll write like crazy for about 7k or 8k, then lose momentum for a couple thousand... I wish it would stay consistant.
